A biopic on Majrooh Sultanpuri, the legendary Urdu poet, lyricist & songwriter. Born as Asrar ul Hassan Khan in Nizamabad, Sultanpuri started off his career as an Hakim. Not finding much success from his medical practice, he slowly drifted into the world of ghazals & mushairas. He then went on to be in the Indian film industry from where he got roaring fame and success.
His works are still regarded as one of the finest gems in literature. Some of his famous works include: Jalte hai jiske liye, Chhod do aanchal, Babu Samjho Ishare, Chala jata hoon among many more. One of the famous Urdu verse is also the credit to him: “Main akela hee chala tha janib-e-manzil magar, Log saath aate gaye aur kaarvan banta gaya!”
