Actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan returns to cinema after a five-year long sabbatical. Aishwarya was last seen on the big screen in ‘Guzaarish‘. Directed by Sanjay Gupta, the action drama revolves around Aishwarya (who plays a lawyer) who is compelled to defend a criminal to ensure her daughter is safe. With action, drama and emotion rolled into one film, ‘Jazbaa‘ could be a winner at the box office.
The film also features Irrfan Khan as a suspended cop, who is popular for sporting Amitabh Bachchan look and ‘tevar’. Aishwarya and Sanjay were in Cannes earlier this year to screen the film’s promo for international distributors. Shabana Azmi, Jackie Shroff and Chandan Roy Sanyal will also be seen in key roles in the film.
